I don't really know why, but I'm really fuzzy eyed and tired this morning. I mean, I didn't get to bed until about 12:30AM, but I didn't get up until almost 9:00AM. However, I did have my alarm set for 7:30AM and was just hitting my ten minute snooze button for about an hour and a half, so that might have something to do with it.
Another thing I'm not so sure about is playing an entire half an hour of piano music all on my own. Digging up every last little bit of my current, and even semi-current, repertoire, I could only get about 25 minutes of music. I mean, add in a couple of minutes for inbetween time, but I can get five minutes out of that. Anyway, I'm going to learn the first movement of a Celmenti sonatina that's really easy. The main thing I'm worried about though is just being able to keep up my concentration. I tend to have a problem with that, and I'll need it for peices like Liebestraum and Rachmaninoff's prelude in C# minor. :P
But there you have it. A little update about me. :)

By "on your own", you mean from memory, right? (I'm just making sure. :P) That's a lot better than I can do. I have no minutes of classical music memorized. Hah. And probably about ten minutes total. . . I don't memorize piano music. Too many notes at the same time. If I were ever good enough to play the violin though, I could memorize music for that. Only one or two notes at a time. :) MUCH easier. I'll probably never be good enough.
lol Well, I have most of it memorized, but I memorize things really easily. If I actually practice something it usually gets in my fingers really quickly. for example, the first two pages of that Clementi sonatina was memorized after about two days and only one serious practice of it. That piece is really easy, but memorizing is something that comes naturally to me.
Anyway, what I actually mean by, "on my own" is that the rest of the band won't be there. I'll just be playing by myself, which I always find very intimidating.
