Discovery *cough cough*

So I've found this amazing new thing: I believe it's called a cold. Yes, that's right. I've come down with a full fledged, no holds barred, cold. It started last Wednesday when I noticed a tiny little thing in the back of my throat that was making me cough some. From that point on my voice got progressively worse until Friday night at which point I could barely talk. However, that was about the only symptom, and since it had come pretty quickly I was hoping it'd go pretty quickly too. . . . .nope. On Saturday, my voice was feeling a bit better, or at least working a bit better. That's about all that happened that day. On Sunday, however, I landed myself with a stuffy nose and have had it since. Have you ever heard that the nasal cavities are large? This is true. Between Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, I feel as though I've dredged about three gallons of snot out of my nose and throat (that is, one gallon for each day). It's really gross to say the least, though I'm sure that's something you picked up on. Aside: last night I dreamed we had eggnog. Anyway. . .

At the moment I also feel somewhat sick to my stomach, and have come close to vomiting a number of times. This is certainly not because there is actually something wrong with my stomach, but because I have been coughing so much it has been riled. This also started to develop on Sunday, though it did not really hit hard until Monday. Grr, hold on a moment while I go blow my nose. :-S . . . . . . . .Don't worry, nothing major. Only a little driblet that time. ;) Where was I? Oh yes, and then on Monday, more or less the whole day (and now on Tuesday too), I've been wracked by rather violent coughing. But here is what is most frustrating: I feel as though there is a little piece of something stuck in a fold in my throat right near my epiglottis, but since Wednesday when I first felt it, it won't come out. It is incredibly agrevating, and I am sure that it is what is causing the coughing. However, I've no way to know if there's actually something there or if it's just, oh I don't know, some kind of sore or something.

I've also missed a good number of things since becomming ill. They include, work (Saturday), church, piano lesson and fencing (both on Monday). I'm probably not going to make it to fencing this week, but oh well. I wouldn't want to get anyone else sick, or stress my body and thereby slow down its recovery. So there you have it! A brief (sort of) chronical of my cold in non-technical terms. :D I hope you all enjoyed it, and aren't you all glad I didn't use the, "enough to feed an army" anaolgy to describe how mucy snot I've been pumping out of my head? ;)

Have a great Thanksgiving, and please don't get sick!

I'm sorry you're sick. :( My mom gets sick almost every Thanksgiving. Definitely not fun. I hope you're feeling better. And that your Thanksgiving was awesome anyway. =)

Oh, it totally was. I need to make a post about my gallivantings from Wednesday through Friday. Hehe I'm not sure I can imagine anything less conducive to getting over the end of a cold quickly, but it was still lots of fun. :D

But it allowed me to get 13+ hours of sleep that night, so I think it's great since now I have something to brag about. lol
