Unfortunately, I have no news about new games, but rather that it was snowing rather hard here for a while today. It really was coming down very hard, and some of it even managed to stick to the ground. Not a terribly encouraging sight to one who has two driveways to shovel during the winter. :P But oh well, I'll survive, and I certainly didn't have to do any work due to this snow. In the end it didn't amount to more than a light dusting. The temperature has been relatively low recently too. It's even been getting down into the thirties during the day, and (obviously) colder during the night. I'm rather hoping that there isn't any snow in earnest for a while yet. But so long as the internet keeps working I don't mind getting snowed in. ;) Just kidding. That would suck. Anyway, seeing as how I was on the topic of blizzards, I thought I'd post a poem a wrote a year or two ago on the subject. Here it is!
A Winter’s Morning
By Aaron Finley
In the frost bitten dead of night,
The wind, it blows with all its might.
Dawn came with never any glow
Since snowy clouds were hanging low.
Still, wind froze giving no delight.
In my house sealed snug and tight
I sip hot tea and smile at fright.
The cold cannot get me I know,
In my warm home.
Here there is a wonderful sight.
Wind outside that could give frostbite.
I drink in warmth, I am below
A roof through which no wind can blow.
There is no cold that tea cannot fight
In my warm home.

lol Wow. . . That really made me happy. In a totally cynical way. Hahaha.
In a cynical way? lol Why? Is it not snowy where you are?

No, not snowy at all. Green grass still. (It's actually pretty annoying.)
Hey I love the snow. I hope we have at least an inch for Thanksgiving. That would provide some nice extra padding for our Rugby game.
Nice poem too. It had a very humble feel to it.
Yeah, I mean, I enjoy winter and snow too, but like I said, I always have a lot of shovel when it snows, and now I generally have very little time to play in it, so really like it's just taunting me by making me work and have no fun. Also, since the lake is right outside, if it freezes nicely it's kind of nice to not have snow because then the lake is nice and skatable.
Humble, hmm. I hadn't thought of it that way. The narration certainly does have a subdued and contented tone to it. I think that counts. :)

Well subdued or not I found it to feel humble. :P
lol No no, I was agreeing with you. I was just trying to figure out why since I hadn't thought of it in that way before. :)
